Here's a new song from Josh Ritter's forthcoming album Fever Breaks. The record was produced by the greatness that is Jason Isbell and features the 400 Unit as the backing band. The album hits store shelves on April 26.
Where did everyone go? I've stayed in contact with a number of people that I shared my day with regularly, but there are so many that are MIA. I explored that site again after a 10+ year hiatus and found out that it was a Russian-owned ghost town. Journals weren't updated. Communities weren't updated. That being said, I imported what little I created her after a friend recommended it.
What do I miss about LJ? That feeling of finding an elongated table to sit at that wasn't being occupied by the football team and cheerleaders. I really enjoyed FB for a number of years, but after Trump was elected it feels like my friends and family are more divided into red and blue circles than ever before.
While a few of my trusted allies will know who I am, I want to be completely anonymous again. I want to have the freedom of writing about how shitty I feel about something without family and friends picking it apart. I want to grow a little I guess. I honestly feel that LJ introduced me to a world that I was unfamiliar existed in a sense. I miss that feeling...a lot.
How is it humanly possible that on FB I have over 1,200 friends and not a single one of them "likes" Tyler Childers? I have no idea how many users there are on this site, but not a single person lists him as an interest. Maybe music means more to me than most?
This kid is an amazing talent! His debut full-length was produced by Sturgill Simpson. If you know anything about Sturgill Simpson, the man doesn't fuck around.
